ASRG Lists:
The ASRG has two main public mailing lists, one high traffic list for discussion and another low traffic one for announcements. Different subgroups within the ASRG also operate their own mailing lists which may or may not be public.
Subscribing:
To subscribe to the announce list, please send an email to asrg-announce-request@ietf.org with the word "subscribe" in the subject, or visit this page.
To subscribe to the discussion list, please send an email to asrg-request@ietf.org with the word "subscribe" in the subject, or visit this page.
To join a mailing list of an ASRG subgroup, you must contact the subgroup or the ASRG chairs directly.
Posting Guidelines:
All conversation on this mailing list must be regarding one of the work items outlined in the ASRG Research Agenda document. The subject of each email should begin with the number of the appropriate work item. For example, "2.a - Spam Measurement Survey Requirements" or "6 - Proposal for hash-based traceback system". Items that do not fit into any of those categories should be marked as "0. General - <particular topic>". The list volume makes it difficult to follow individual conversations and to filter the noise, and following these guidelines helps to eliminate both problems.
This is a research group. If you have constructive feedback, please share it in an appropriate manner. If you just feel like saying that "spam can not be stopped" or "this group will fail because I said so", then you should state those things elsewhere.
Mailing List Archives:
Archive of the announce list is available at the this page, archive of the discussion list is available this page. You can also visit Gmane.org to search the archives. There is also an old summary originally created by William Leibzon. There is also a RSS feed of the discussion list provided by MailBucket.org.
